FH4 054 | My Baby, Sort Of...
My baby in that I own an actual 2nd Gen Eclipse, but the sort of is that mine is a ‘99 GS-T. The one is the game is a ‘95 GS-X, which is the pre-facelift all wheel drive model. Mine is the facelifted front wheel drive model, but it does still have the turbocharged 4G63 and a 5-speed. So it’s pretty close, but not quite the same.
As of recently, my car has been looking more like this, covered in salt and snow, and also wearing her winter rims and tires. These are the closest wheels in the game I could find to the ones I have, which are actually American Racing rims.
And after some time of driving this one around almost stock for a while, I decided to give it a minor build. This is the kind of thing I could see possibly doing with mine in the future, but that’s a far away reality. HRE rims, big upgraded brakes, bigger turbo and a more built engine provide a much faster and more spirited driving experience. The Eclipse is a great car, and is one I never really thought I’d have. From seeing it as the first car Paul Walker ever drove in the first Fast and Furious, to seeing the massive performance capability hidden within and also the rarity of ever seeing one on the road today, it’s a car I love and would hope to keep forever.
