Carb conversion kit?

So I have a 1986 Honda Crx and i’m officially done messing with all the vacuum lines.. I’ve looked and looked and connected and connected, did everything that my brain can think of. I’m finally resorting to universal carburetor kits or something to get rid of these damn lines!
I was looking on Ebay as most at home mechanics do, and found the Weber Carb Conversion Kit, and have no clue if that is a carburetor that will get rid of the vacuum line problem.
Here’s a link to it. ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Civic-CRX-1984-to-1987-1300-and-1500-CVCC-Weber-Carb-Conversion-kit-/331298634200?fits=Year%3A1986%7CMake%3AHonda%7CSubmodel%3ACRX&hash=item4d22eff9d8:g:ihEAAOxyAc1SQ1-E&vxp=mtr )
If someone can tell me if that will work and get rid of the vacuum lines, that would be great. Or if you can direct me to different carb that will fix the situation that I am in, that would save me a ton of time.

(Main problem I have in case someone here suggests something I haven’t done.)
I have a really bad idle, yup you guessed it! I’v done everything I can think of. Like making sure there is no air in the coolant, to disconnect and reconnect (in their right places) every vacuum line that is in the car.
I’m idling about 1,200-1,500rpms when its running. Adjusting the idle screw or what ever its called to 750 rpms just kills the car completely. Also every time I come to a stop with the car, it will die as well, but once its rolling it stays rolling for as long as I want pretty much.
Sorry for the long post but i’v had this car since April and I just want it fixed! (Pics of the car and carb below (;)

Hey man, the carbs on CRXs do tend to go a little askew after a while. It can usually be fixed by playing with the existing carb.

I used this tread to sort out mine, so take a read through to see if anything fixes yours: http://www.aa1car.com/library/carburetor_honda_keihin.htm

I wouldn’t go with the carb personally. If you want to crazy with replacing stuff, get a standalone. Also one good thing to look for is a leak in the manifolds/throttle body. Google how to check it, it could what your problem is.

Yes… and No..
I can tell you as a Toyota Owner who still has a Carb’d engine, yes.. the Weber DCOE Kit with the 40 or 45MM will work.. They will also get rid of 98% of the lines..
You will need to retain a few though..

  1. Brake booster…
  2. Vacuum advance for Dizzy
  3. Vacuum for the heat..

Other than that.. Unless the honda’s have something special, that should be about it..

I will tell you this through..
Tuning a weber sucks the first time.. once you get it set though they are pretty much good to go..
Another thing.. You will need an external Fuel pump, and a fuel pressure regulator to get it to run correctly..
