Induction kits on a diesel... Waste of money or money well spent?

I’ve had induction kits on petrol cars in the past, whilst performance gains are debatable it was worth it for the sound at full throttle. I’m running a turbo diesel Passat at the moment, my question to you… Is it worth it?

Installing an induction kit on a Diesel Passat to make it sound better? Trust me, that train left a long time ago. It’s Diesel Passat, it will never sound nice.

It’s a tubro, doesn’t make any difference. Consider a blow off valve, stock ones are known for dropping pressure under load, so more power plus tsutsutsu.

It might make the turbo spool louder, if that’s what you’re after. There’ll be less noise dampening with an aftermarket intake

Suppose it’s like any engine , the induction kit/performance filter will actually make it breathe better than the standard asthmatic paper filter 😎👍
