Dirty Summer Tires Go Into The Bathtub, Clean Tires Come Out
Gloss black Ford Racing Performance Parts 17” × 7” rims and ultra high performance tires off of the #Focus, looking fresh and black again.
After cleaning and drying them, I also pick all of the stones and whatever other debris out of the treads. That’s more work than it sounds, but worth it to keep the treads clear for water and the weight off to keep from becoming imbalanced.
Still have to polish and wax the rims, as well as gel the tires. That’ll wait until closer to Spring though, otherwise the rims will lose their shine.
This is also a terrific way to annoy your significant other by covering the bath tub in a large amount of dirt…
