Unpopular Opinion: The Lamborghini Aventador SV is ugly
I honestly think the Lamborghini Aventador SV is ugly, you can call me crazy if you’d like, but at least hear me out first. I’m in no way a Lamborghini hater, I love Lamborghini’s and there outrageous styling. In fact, I loved the original Aventador, I thought it was one of the coolest supercars around. The new Aventador is the one I have a problem with though, especially in top of the line SV trim. While the original Aventador’s design was not what anyone would call restrained, it was cohesive and every line and angle followed one decisive theme.
The new Aventador and Aventador SV, however, just look like they took the old Aventador and slapped a bunch of new bits on it. Everything from the vents in the bumper, the sideskirts, the lip, the spoiler and those wheels, it just seems like they tacked on a bunch of new trim bits. I also don’t like that all of these additions are not body colored, it takes away from the overall shape and just makes it look like a hodge podge of black aero bits. Additionally, I feel like the SV’s front bumper looks worse than the old one, almost like someone squashed and widened the original, almost like a hammerhead shark…

I like, its more aggresive and its stunning in that blue. The wing balances out the pointier front quite nicely. Also you dont like exposed carbon fiber?
au contraire, I love exposed carbon fiber. Take the Zonda Tricolore for example, beautiful use of carbon weave. I just don’t like the way they used it on the SV.
I’m the flip side, I can’t stand the old Aventador, the SV and the S are such a big improvement

As an ardent lover of the SV, it took a lot of self-control to not lash out at you in rage.
Anyway, I disagree with you, as the carbon aero stuff makes it look more aggressive than the standard Aventador, increases downforce, and it makes it lighter. In addition to another 50 bhp compared to the original.
Performance wise, yeah you’re probably right, but from a pure looks perspective I just can’t get on board.
Eh, I’d say haphazardly throwing bits on their supercar is a Lamborghini tradition at this point. Just think of what they’ve done to the Countach.
True. But what I amazes is, Countach is filled with bits, but people says it look nice, but the new Aventador does not.

The Aventador S roadster is the best looking Lamborghini to me. The new front end and carbon lower rear bumper/diffuser rear works well.
Well, it’s a Lamborghini, and they’re all about sharp edges and standing out. I will agree with you though, the (newer) Lambos are becoming…too sharp. In other words, I’m not a huge fan of the A vent a door SV either.
Lamborghinis design went to shit after Audi bought i. The Gallardo was the last decent Lambo

Fair enough! I like it but we all have our own opinions. I get the same thing but it’s kinda the opposite with the F50. I think it’s extremely beautiful, but I get a lot of people (presumably under 12 due to their spelling) saying “f40 better f50 suc ass jermey claksin said so”
Agreed, I’ve actually grown to quite like the F50
