FH4-058 | Series 9 Week 1 in Review: The Start of Mini May

Series 9 has finally arrived, and with it a whole slew of new cars to Horizon 4. Even with the theme of the Series/month being Mini’s, there are certainly a few other awesome cars coming soon as well.

To start off we have the 2018 JCW Convertible, a fast little paddle-shifted drop-top Mini, what’s not to like? It has more power than I certainly expected, and drove it around in summer a lot more than I honestly expected to. It just has a great fun factor that I wasn’t completely expecting from it.

And the other Mini for this first week is something a bit more classic, the 1965 Morris Mini-Traveller. I don’t have a lot to say about this one, other than that I love it! It’s a longer wheelbase classic Mini with woody panels on the back half. It might not be that quick stock, but it’s not meant to be either. It just has a great personality.

Wanted to add another late picture of this little beauty, as it seems I found a building that reminded me of a certain automotive TV show that used to be based in the UK…I wonder if they put this one here on purpose…

Since most everything this month is Mini related, I took this monster out for some challenges at the start of the week. Its gearing is a bit short for the power it has, but it is still pretty fun off-road. I’m looking forward to the new Mini buggy coming out later this series.

This shot was from one of the races I did for Week 1 to accomplish something, I honestly don’t remember what it was lol, but hey that Elise is a pretty fun ride.

I’ll finish off this post with this Skyline I had built during the week. It’s a pretty light build performance wise, but I took a while making sure it has a good stance and rides good. They don’t all need to be quick, some just need to look and handle good. Sounding good would be ideal too, but this is Horizon 4 after all…
Until the next one, let me know what you all think in the comments. -Pagz777
