Brace Yourselves: The Bugatti Chiron Has Been Confirmed And Will Be Revealed At Geneva
Bugatti has confirmed its Veyron successor will indeed be called 'Chiron', and we'll get to see it for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show next year

It’s official: the successor to the Bugatti Veyron will be called Chiron. Well, we were already pretty certain of that, but with today’s confirmation comes a little bit of news we didn’t know: we’ll first be able to clock eyes on this brute (assuming there are no leaks) at next year’s Geneva Motor Show, which kicks off on 3 March.
The name of the car comes from Louis Chiron, a racing driver who drove for Bugatti during the 1930s, whose surname was also used for the company’s 1999 18/3 Chiron concept.
Details are fairly limited at this stage, but Bugatti says it’s received 100 pre-orders for the new car. We do also have a vague idea of what it’ll look like - it’s expected to take styling inspiration from the Vision Gran Turismo concept, and we have seen disguised prototypes undergoing testing.
Performance-wise, the latest rumours suggest somewhere in the region of 1500bhp, courtesy of an updated version of the Veyron’s 8.0-litre W16.
