Power outlet issue
What you see in this photo is a blown fuse from the instrument panel.
I usually charge my smartphone up using a car charger. Last night, my phone wouldn’t charge, even though I had checked that everything was plugged in properly. That’s when I thought maybe a fuse popped or something, because everything else was working fine. I decided to check the fuse box from the engine bay, and couldn’t find the fuse for the power supply.
I then moved the driver seat away, and went under the driver side to find the instrument panel. Sure enough, after locating the power supply, the fuse was blown.
Here’s a good thing to know:
There should be some spare fuses in the fuse box in the engine bay.
So after grabbing a spare fuse, I replaced the blown fuse, and fired the car up to see if the power supply was restored. Green light!

So you’re changing your phone with a usb charger and using the cigarette lighter plug? It’s quite odd that you blew a fuse just by charging up your phone, usually the cigarette lighter plug consumes more than 5amps (atleast in my car) when it heats up the coil, and a usb charges uses like 3Amps max? Maybe you should make sure that the charger is ok so that it doesn’t start eating fuses.
Oh, and not to mention, I was using a Belkin 2.4AMP power adapter. I don’t know what caused the fuse to blow, but the power supply worked from when I bought the car (used, at 18,500mi), and it stopped working yesterday.
