Overheating Damage

I have a 2005 Infiniti g35, and recently, it over heated. The problem has since been fixed, but I want to know how much damage could have been caused to the engine? It was in the “Hot” section of the heat gauge for anywhere between 3 minutes to 30 seconds. No steam, or smoke.
