2nd gear/ synchro grind

Within the last 3 weeks, my second gear (synchro?) has started grinding every time I shift. It doesn’t do it when cold, only once warmed up. I changed the gear oil, and did a shifter alignment, but no change. Has anybody had this issue? I don’t know if thr synchro is too far gone, or if it could be a clutch issue, or if it could even be worn motor/transmission mount.

I have the same issue with my 4th gear. I don’t know what it is, but it wasn’t oil or anything like that with me either.

Update: i did a fluid change and it didn’t do anything. Then i found a study done on the oils and the royal purple i put in eas wayyy below vicosity standard once it heated up. I replaced it the following day with lucas oil fluid. Fixes my problem when cold, and makes it much better when hot. Just having to drive to protect 2nd. Probably going to get new synchros put in this summer.

Thanks for the news. I just got a stage one clutch kit, and new engine/transmission mounts. And called around for some quotes, a rebuild on mine for synchros and maybe some other stuff should be around $500.
