A few weeks ago there was a fair bit of hullabaloo in the media after a study claimed that in contrast to the long-held stereotype, women were more skilled in the art of parking cars than men.  We'll not crack open that can of worms all over again, but we can at least confirm the identity of the Guinness World Record holder for parking the most cars in the shortest possible time. Some say he's a highly skilled and experienced driver for airport-car park service Meteor meet & greet, and, well, they're spot on, to be frank.

'The Meeg', a.k.a. Brodie Branch, demonstrated his skills in a display of fine helmsmanship earlier this month, successfully parking 50 cars in just 22 minutes and 16 seconds at Meteor's Crawley headquarters. Sprinting between all shapes and sizes of potential customer car, from Fiat 500s to BMW 5 Series', the mysterious Meeg admitted: "During my time at Meteor meet and greet I’ve valet-parked more than a quarter of a million cars but I’ve never achieved anything quite like this before. Being up against the clock, my adrenalin surged higher and higher with each car, so when I parked the 50th and saw the time, it was an amazing feeling."

Given Meteor have been on the go for 27 years, and handle over 300 cars a day, Meeg doesn't have all day to take a breather and accept the plaudits for a thoroughly remarkable parking effort. However, next time it's being touted that standards of parking aren't what they used to be, you know exactly whose direction to point the naysayers in.

And on that bombshell...
