An 'M' Version Of The BMW i3 Will Never Happen, But Would Look Awesome

A few weeks ago, we let ourselves dream by imagining what the i8 would look like if BMW’s M Division bods got hold of it. Not satisfied by just that, we thought we’d envision what another unlikely BMW candidate would look like with a little M treatment: the i3.

An 'M' Version Of The BMW i3 Will Never Happen, But Would Look Awesome

Of course, as with the ‘Mi8,’ it’ll never happen, but there’s no denying the tall and thin i3 would look stunning with the various M gubbins attached. ‘Our’ car sits much lower on alloy wheels taken from the F30 M3/M4, while the front bumper sports some meaty intakes. The front wings have sprouted gills, and there’s a quad-exit exhaust at the back. As the i3 is an electric vehicle these are just dummies to make the car look prettier. Sorry.

Our imagined Mi3 would either have a more powerful electric motor (the standard car’s kicks out 167bhp), or perhaps an extra motor to power the front axle, making it four-wheel drive.

What do you think of our vision for an M Division i3?
