Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is almost here! I'm looking forward to a luxury and performance car-filled weekend with debuts from Bentley, Infiniti and Devon Motor Works. Also, Jaguar is set to make the first U.S showing of the XJ at the show.

Ahead of this introduction, Jaguar has seen fit to release pricing for the super sedan. Until now, there hasn't been any official information on just how much this new car would cost.

It has been pretty well known that Jaguar is planning to move upmarket to occupy more of the high-end space. Jaguar used to be at the highest echelons of motoring and they'd like to move in that direction again (as in, more X-Types). The has even been speculation about a high-end Bentley-rivaling sedan to slot in above the XJ. For now though, the XJ is Jaguar's flagship, and an excellent one at that.

The 2010 base model XJ comes in at $72,500, up from $66,475 for the 2009 model. For those who feel a desire for a larger XJ (!) add $7,000 to that figure, bringing the car's base price to $79,500. From there the price increases quickly, with the XJ Supercharged and XJL Supercharged coming in at $87,500 and $90,500 respectively.

There is another level to go up to though: the XJ and XJL Supersport check in at $112,000 and $115,000, marking the top of the XJ's price range. Jaguar is also now taking orders for delivery that comes in the first part of next year.
