650S Too Ordinary? McLaren Special Operations Has You Covered
What you're looking at is the MSO 650S Coupe Concept, which acts as a showcase for all the trick bits McLaren Special Operations will fit to your standard 650S. The most obvious changes are at the rear, which features a carbonfibre air brake, and a restyled bumper incorporating a tasty carbonfibre diffuser.
The carbonfibre side blades, meanwhile, are more aggressive and come with natty MSO branding. The engine cover and wheels are satin black, while the whole car is finished in an 'Agrigan Black' metallic paint. It's predominantly black with a red flake effect, and it appears to change colour in direct sunlight.
On the inside, you get a pair of fixed-back carbonfibre 'because racecar' seats, which sit the driver and passenger lower in the car, while offering more support and giving a 15kg weight saving. Carbonfibre finishings are also dotted around the cabin.
Performance is unchanged from the standard car, but with 641bhp and 500lb/ft giving a 0-62mph time of 3.0sec, it's lot like the normal 650S is lacking in that department.
The car is a one-off design study that'll be touring China over the next few weeks. The side blades and rear diffuser are available to order now however, priced at £5114 and £7245 respectively. And don't feel left out if you have a 12C, as the parts are available for McLaren's outgoing supercar also.
