Top 5 my favourite bus chassis

Indonesia has some of the most interesting buses in the world for some reason. But there’s so many chassis that sold in Indonesia. Here in Indonesia,Every bus has it’s chassis and body sold separately. But we were talking about bus chassis in this post. Here’s 5 of them that i like

5.Hino RK

Hino might be unfamiliar for Americans and Europeans,But here in Indonesia,Hino RK is the most popular bus chassis Indonesia.Main rival of this chassis is Mercedes Benz OH 1626.It has JO8E-UF that produces 260HP and 750NM of torque.

4.Hino AK

The Hino AK is the only front engined bus in this list.It also the only front engined bus that sold in Indonesia. It has JO8E that similar to Hino RK (But has lower power than RK) that produces 215HP of power and 620NM of torque.

3.Mercedes Benz OH1518 “King”

The OH1518 was quite popular here because it’s reliability. So reliable that even it was used for the longest bus line in Indonesia (Medan to Malang.Operated by ALS (Antar Lintas Sumatera/Sumatera Intercity). It has OM 366 A engine that produces 180HP of power

2.Volvo B7R

The Volvo B7R was quite legendary because it was the first bus that sold by Volvo in Indonesia. It has D7E engine that produces 290HP of power and 1200NM of torque. There’s not many B7Rs that operated here now

1.Mercedes Benz OC 500 RF 2542

The only bus with triple axle on this list.It was quite popular too.The main rival of this chassis is Scania K410.It’s actually made specially for Indonesian Market. It has OM 457 LA that produces 422HP of power and 1.900NM of torque.
