Foamectomy
So in my quest to get my car track ready I decided to go for a foamectomy. I’ve cut back the foam between the bolsters on the back rest and I cut the big lump of foam off the bottom of the seat so it sits lower down in the seat pan at the back. Test fitting it feels so much more supportive and that it’s really going to hold me in the seat better. Actually sitting in the seat now rather than on it

I should add that whilst it doesn’t look pretty there is another thin layer of foam sewn into the leather covering which completely flattens it all out and you would never even feel the bumps
I would like to mention that properly track ready includes harnesses and a rollbar… For the occasional track day it might be okay but above that… rollbar.
Thanks mum. But what’s that got to do with modifying my seats? Other than the fact a harness with a standard seat is considered by many to be more dangerous than the oem belt
Well its a start. Most tracks wont let you run without safety equiptment tho. Helmet roll bar harness etc. Good free mod tho. Save those pennies so you can get stuff to potentially save your life. Just saying

B) I’m fully aware of all my local track rules. I’m fully aware you need a helmet. I’m fully aware a roll bar is needed for safety on the track. I’m fully aware its dangerous to play on train tracks.

Dude no ones against you, its just a good suggestion. No reason to be this upset. Dont put something on the internet and expect people to know the specifics of you car/life. I think you’re mistaking good advice for criticism. Relax i even said it was a good free mod. Smoke a joint or something….
