ABS sensor way too close. It's grinding on the teeth of the ABS tone ring.

How to fix this issue? This is causing the abs to kick in every time i try to slow down my car. How to make the abs sensor not make contact?

What vehicle is this on? Typically the wheel speed sensor which controls the abs, is a stationary component. Unless the bracket or whatever it’s mounted too is bent or damaged it shouldn’t be any closer or further than it was new. Check if the sensor not have dirt/grease metal shavings built up on it, causing it to kick in by giving it false readinings. Is the tone ring itself clean and rust free between the teeth? Again all my information is generalized without know what vehicle were talking about it’s hard to give more accurate information.

2001 sienna, and yes i already cleaned all the sensors. Both front sensors had metal shavings on them. Front right one had 3× more metal shavings. Front right one left a trail of it scraping on the teeth of the abs tone ring. Yeah tone ring looked to be free of debris.

Do you have a voltage meter? Check the resistance on the sensors to each wheel and if you have it refer to the repair manual as to what they should read resistance wise. But it sounds to me from what you described the sensors themselves are likely worn out, fairly common. I’m almost certain that’s your issue, but if you have a voltage reader doesn’t hurt to check the resistance on each one before ordering any parts.

Can someone explain this diagnostic code to me?

VSC and ABS both flash same way at the same time. First one: 4 flashes pause, then 2 flashes. Second one: 3 flashes pause, then 3 flashes.

Looks like code 42 and code 33
