Mountune air box question

I’m going to purchase the Mountune air box and filter soon. But I’m a little confused about the filter.

If I get it with the new high flow filter, is it a k&n filter? And if so is it one of the washable filters?

Im also curious about servicing. I pay for my services monthly and just drop the car off with ford, but should I let them know I have different filter?

I don’t know what mountune offers for the 1.0 but if its a k&n filter then its washable im pretty sure. And normally you get stickers from k&n that let the mechanic know to not change them out.. (any normal mechanic will know the difference though so don’t worry about that). The (bad) picture below shows my intake with the sticker i was talking about (you also have ones that literally say ‘do not discard’. But i service my car myself so i didn’t put that on haha.

Cheers for that. I beleive the st uses the same airbox and filter. So it is washable. How long can you keep using the same filter?? Does it ever need replacing or do you wash it over and over? If so how do you wash it?

I have the mountune air filter for my 1.6 N/A. It’s not a k&n, but it’s pretty much the same. It is washable, but doesn’t come with any stickers to say it’s different, but it’s obviously different. I’ve had it to the ford dealer a couple of times without any issues. You can let them know, it won’t hurt anything, but I don’t think you’ll need to.

You also get stickers to put on the casing of the air box. Telling them it has a k&n filter in so don’t replace it
