Pixel Car driving school Part 2 tuning
Pixel Car driving school 2 tuning
So u bought your project car and u want upgrades so let’s start with the basics. turbos and superchargers cause the most improvement of the car. Intakes, intercoolers, and pipes add more HP to the engine itself. Tires and shocks add grip to the car which reduces wheelspin. The ECU and NOS have their own functions. The ECU can increase your rev limit and with good ECU it adds launch control. NOS adds an good amount amount of horsepower but a good NOS Bottle can mean the difference between 1 tenths to 5 tenths in a run. Then you have cosmetics and engine swaps.
Now let’s get to what’s the best for what situations and what should You save up for. The turbochargers and superchargers are the best for large overhauls and shorter 1/4 mile times. Now the type of engine you have will change the effeteness of the turbocharger, for example the mini has a 98 hp engine and after adding a 19 PSI it changed it to an 150 engine with boost. Now when I LS swapped it the car turned into a 1100 hp monster. Intercoolers, exhaust pipes and intakes in the game are inexpensive ways to push out more horsepower from your engine. While inexpensive these don’t give a good amount of hp so these upgrades are only useful if u need a cheap upgrade. Tires and ECU +2 step are the best why to reduce wheelspin on starts. Wheelspin causes slower launches so buying these two items is the difference between 7.5 and 7 seconds. Now to activate the 2 step press the wrench icon in the tune menu (note it’s next to the gear ratios and and stats) it is the middle bar in the menu that says launch control. Make sure the RPM limiter is on the max setting to ensure a perfect launch. Cosmetic upgrades are only cosmetic and add no weight to the car. Weight reduction parts are hit and miss on whether they work or not but it is a good idea to buy them. Now engine swaps in PCR change everything about the car and how the upgrades effect them
For example some engines can have 50 hp and with boost 100 hp but when you engine swap it goes from 100 hp with boost to 1000 with boost. Be careful engine swaps don’t add horsepower they change the entire stock engine so check the specs before swapping.
Tuning your project car is a fun experience so I highly recommend players to find a project car and build it to X class.

I sold my GT-R and bought an NSX instead. All modifications came off the GT-R and came on the NSX.
However, the NSX is significantly slower. Maybe the issue is in gearing, I’m not sure. What do you suggest to do?
There is plenty of power but still it underperforms
Shorten the gearing. If you make a quick shift to second before you redline off the line it’ll be s good time. I was getting low 7s
The reason the NSX is slow because PCR went realistic with the 500, Miata and the NSX so the max revs with highest ECU are 9500, 9800. Plain stupid.
