Pixel car driving school part one
Pixel Car Driving school 1: the choosing the best car
So you have enough money to buy a new car and your able to get rid of the 240sx it’s time to think about buying an investment. This part I will give you the pros and cons of the most popular cars and my thoughts. Let’s start with the smaller and inexpensive car the Mini Cooper
Mini Cooper
Pros
-inexpensive
-insane grip rating
-light
Cons
Stock engine is extremely underpowered engine swap needed
-very hard to upgrade with stock engine
⁃ has the gear ratio curse (if you change gear ratios the race glitches and never starts)
⁃ Slow.
Thoughts
The car is decent if you got the money. While the car is cheap, monster of grip, and inexpensive the car desperately needs a engine swap for your car to make competitive times (8 seconds and below). The car itself has a stock output of 98 horse power which means you need to swap the engine. The only problem is that levels 30 and below have to grind for weeks to get a decent engine for their car. My conclusion is that the car is a OK choice if you can put a lot of money towards it or are willing to spend a lot of time grinding up cash
R34
Pros
-its an R34 it looks awesome
Cons
-Rb26 is highly underpowered compared to most other engines
-difficult to upgrade to R1 class
-little pricy compared to other cars
-it feels like every other car but more expensive
Thoughts
I had I hopes for this car I really did want it and i worked for it but after a while I realized it is way too overrated. The car itself looks great and it’s a R34 so get gets extra points for that, but there is one thing that holds it back. The RB26. The engine holds it back from being R2 class material because your using the most expensive parts to get it to the bottom of R1 setting 1/4 miles of 7.5-8’seconds. The car would be great if the engine where to give it more power output but it is underpowered compared to its rival the Supra and its 2Jz. I even checked by equipping the same exact parts from the R34 to the Supra and the car got into R2 class easy setting A average of a 7.1 seconds. So the only way to make the car better is to swap the VR38 into the R34 and make it your dream car build.
My conclusion: The R34 is way too overrated and is a absolute grind to get it to R1 and make decent time. That being said the car should only be bought if you
The Toyota Supra
Pros
-powerful
-looks amazing
-highly upgradable
-best 90’s JDM car in the game
-relatively inexpensive compared to other cars
-Great project car
-Best starting car in the game
Cons
-none
My thoughts
We come to my personal favorite project car the Supra. The 2Jz is insane and if you play your upgrades correctly you can have a 2300 hp turbocharged monster. The car looks beautiful and is one of the best in the game. The car is fun to make it your dream working hard to earn enough cash to buy that next turbocharger or the best ECU. The car can make R2 class easily and even reach X class. The car is also inexpensive making it the best starting car in the game. It’s also rewarding to have al your hard work help your car reach the covenanted 6 second mark.
My conclusion: best starting car in the game. the 2Jz boosts your car’s potential and 1/4 mile times. The car is inexpensive so I believe this should be the first car you buy after the 240sx
R35 GTR
Pros
-Looks nice
-one of the fastest if not the fastest car in the game fully upgraded
-best car in the game
-that VR38 is a monster
-has the best engine
-best bang for your buck
Cons
-A little pricy
-gearing must be exactly right to get competitive times
-heavy
My thoughts
We get to the best car in the game the Nissan GTR R35. Why is it the best you ask? Well it’s the best because it’s stock engine is the best engine in the game the VR38. While some might say it’s a little heavy I believe the car is very quick to make up for it. While gears must be exactly perfect to get that extra 5 tenths to reach the 6 seconds there at no other flaws then it being heavy which may people find this the reason not to buy it while I think your passing up something amazing.
My conclusion: I highly recommend this car for any pixel car players because it is the best none swapped car in the game
2016 NSX
-fast
-looks nice
-easy 6 second car
Cons
-Extremely expensive
My thoughts
The NSX could be one of the best cars in the game if it weren’t for one thing, the price. The car is the most expensive one in the game with a cost of 1.2 million dollars now compared to its in game rival the GTR (which costs 149,000) your paying a lot more for a little more performance. The car is another 4WD monster helping you reach that target of 6 seconds. The car can outclass the GTR any most ways but the grinding it takes to get the car is detrimental to my final thoughts on it. As a beginner you have to choose between having the a project car or spending your entire in game allowance on buying a shockingly expensive car
Final thoughts one of if not the best car in the game if you earn enough income per race to buy it and max it out
So I hoped this helped you guys on which car to buy as a beginner and stay tuned for the next installment of pixel car driving school

Honestly, I use a 930 Turbo. Don’t really intend to use any of these. I’ve already gotten it to R-Class, and it’s got 8 Second times, which is nice. I also applied the gear ratios of 993’s.
I didn’t know that there were more porches
I made the list based on the most popular cars
My setup 🙌🏻. Great post btw v helpful
So this is the car getting the 933 ratings on the leaderboard
