5 Of The Most Popular 4 Cylinder Drag Cars #blogpost

If you’ve ever seen drag racing, the most popular engine forms are V8s or 6 cylinders. But there is a small category with the little 4 bangers making ridiculous amounts of power. Here are the most popular ones.

1. Honda Civic

How could you not expect this to be on the list? light, cheap to get and you could shove tons of power in this thing. Available in various models, you can pick the one thats right for you.

2: Subaru Impreza

A Subaru as a drag car? -triggered-

Anyways, this person has a 2005 WRX Sedan with a heavily modified boxer engine and RWD swapped.

3. Dodge Neon

As much as I want to say that Neons have no potential in performance, many people still upgrade these as beginner drag cars.

4. Mitsubishi Eclipse

Unlike in the first pic, this one has its original engine/drivetrain. One of the lesser popular drag cars, this one is really cool.

5. Mitsubishi Evolution

Another 4WD car. This particular one is 4WD, unlike the RWD Subaru.

The WRX might not be converted to RWD but probably just was in burnout mode to warm the tires up and use the AWD for the actual drag race

Probably RWD. It looks like it has skinnies up front.

  1. GM Ecotec. Cobalt SS’s might be hunks of junk, but they make great track/drag cars.

Not to mention the world record fastest 4cylinder drag cars use Ecotec motors.

The Ecotec community is popular the domestic 4 banger crowd, but most car enthusiasts don’t know about these 4G63 killers.

Can agree that Ecotec engines are great ones

Though why are Cobalt SS’s junk to you?
