Fitting LCI M-Sport Front bumper to my Pre-LCI E90
Well this has been the very first mod I wanted to do when I first bought my e90 but I never found the right bumper at the right time with a decent price, well about a week ago I found this bumper from a reputable seller on eBay for $200 (Free Shipping), it had the same color as my car and it was used, the reason I went with used one was because it’s a lot easier to install pre fitted bumper from OEM than getting a new bumper that is made out of molded Polyurethane, because then you have trim it, sand it, fit it and paint it.
I only had to do couple things with the bumper, fitted the previous kidney grilles using black insulation tape and black zipties, I had to create my own lower bumper grill using honeycomb mesh (On the lower bumper grilles I have decided to go without fogs since I never used them) and I had to fabricate my own belly pan extension using Kydex sheets(See the last picture). All of these parts were either already black or they were painted to gloss black.
By fabricating all of my necessary conversion parts I’ve saved around $150-$200. At the end bumper just slid on and sat perfectly, after the install I’ve waxed and detailed the bumper so it would look better till I paint it, honestly after detailing it I’ve thought about not painting it at all since it already looks really nice but I’ve already ordered the paint with clear coat and it won’t be a long process, bumper is the same color as my car, 2 top coats and 2 clear coats should be well enough to make it look even better.

Provably one of the best things u could of done aesthetically, the normal bumper makes the car look roundish and boring, it now looks sharp and great 👌👌
Yeah for the longest time I wanted a M-Sport or M3 bumper but it was really difficult to find one with the combination of things I wanted. I’m really happy the way that it turned out and I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of getting one! 👌💪
Why didn’t you go for a pre-lci m-sport bumper?
It’s really difficult to find decent used oem M-Sport bumpers period, let alone a pre-lci one with just light scratches in Black Sapphire Metallic color is quite close to impossible, and honestly I think lci ones look a lot better compared to pre lci ones so it all comes to your personal preference and how much you’re willing to spent on it, I got this one for $200 and delivered for free from west to east coast and you honestly can’t beat that.
It really looks dope. I wanted to do the same to my e90 but im reaally near to make 300.000 km so, im not gonna spend a lot of money. It also has a problem with the gearbox that even at bmw cant find the problem. Im glad i bought the s4 haha
I can totally understand that, and im glad that you were able to get your hands on to that S4, if i were in your shoes i probably would have done something similar. For now my Artemis looks like a keeper, the time will show..

Looks really good!
Thanks! It’s one of those things that makes you proud when you look at it. 💯
By chance did you run into this spacing problem? Everything else fits fine though. 2008 bmw e92 pre lci ro a lci bumper
