Isuzu Piazza
In the UK, Isuzu is known for very little other than pickups, but back in the eighties, things were a little different. The Piazza was a small Giorgetto designed coupé which, in the UK, was offered with a grand total of 1 engine: a 147bhp turbocharged two litre. Also, the suspension was tuned by Lotus, which helps everything. And look at those wheels!

Isuzu have made some of the best looking cars ever, hugely underrated company
Yeah, it was a pity that they stopped making cars. A lot don’t even know they ever made cars :/
Apparently had terrible torque steer
I never heard about that, but I’m sure it’s possible
Impulse here in the states, I can’t verify this but I’ve heard it used the platform of the Chevrolet Chevette, and Giorgetto’s design was originally a rejected sketch for the second generation VW Scirocco.
