hay guys am going to buy a a31 cefiro with an a rb swap so please tell me how to spot the difference thx
The series 0 and 1 RB25DE have flat rocker covers so it can be hard to tell the difference, the series 2 and neo have bulges on the rear of the rocker covers. The stamp on the block of the 25de should say 75t. The cambelt cover of the RB20DE has a stamp on the front saying RB20, but sometimes it can be unstamped and just look flat - RB25DE has a bulge on the left cam gear (passenger side), RB25DE NEO has an external cam sensor bolted to the left cam gear and a bulge on the right cam gear. If it has the original coil covers, the RB20DE says Twin Cam 2000 or twin cam 24 valve, the RB25DE says Twin Cam 2500 or is blank. The A31 Cefiro came with the RB20e, RB20DET and RB25DE from factory, and the Maxima may have had the RB24.
0.5 litres different but get a turbo innit too!
The easiest way is just to look for the two bulges.

Rb20 is two liters rb25 is 2.5
