Witness The Fury Of This Alfa Romeo 4C-Shaped V8 Monster

This Zytec V8-powered creation technically isn't an Alfa Romeo 4C, but we like it a lot!

Before we go any further, you should probably know that this isn’t really an Alfa Romeo 4C. Like the mad 600bhp 4C we looked at a couple of years ago it’s been made for the purposes of hill climbing, but unlike that car, this is a purpose-built racing car with a 4C-like body dumped on top.

In other words it’s a silhouette racer, but don’t let that put you off, as the 700kg ‘MG-AR1’ looks like an incredible piece of kit. It’s powered by a 3.0-litre Zytek V8, which produces 460bhp and a very shouty 9000rpm. It sounds great in this new Imola-shot testing footage, don’t you think?

It’s a relatively gentle run, but a quick search turned up the video below from last year which sees the MG-AR1 in a rather more aggressive mode of attack. You may want to find some headphones for this!
