How And Why Did Cars Go From Being Boxy To Curvy?

This great video from Vox shows how and why cars became curvy, having been boxy for years. There's a little more to it than you might expect...

As explained in this great video from Vox, and perhaps as expected, the quest for better fuel economy through more streamlined designs played a big part in the curvy revolution. But, there are more factors at play, such as the rise of computer modeling making curvy vehicle design a hell of a lot easier.

So let me get this straight, American cars were already aerodynamic, but the American Byers forced the car industry to make cars less aerodynamic? Expected from such a population.
