As explained in this great video from Vox, and perhaps as expected, the quest for better fuel economy through more streamlined designs played a big part in the curvy revolution. But, there are more factors at play, such as the rise of computer modeling making curvy vehicle design a hell of a lot easier.

Aerodynamics aside though, there is still something cool about older, boxier cars…

unlike what this bs video says, old 30s and 40s cars have nothing to do with aerodynamics in their design. EVERYTHING was streamlined back then
