Serious question: What are the benefits of stancing you car? I am trying to understand the whole scene but I'm having trouble. So can someone please tell me the benefits of it. Keep it respectful please.
Stancing is only done for looks. I can’t see any other reason You could lower and stiffen and camber your car so that you make your car faster, but that’s not stancing. When you stance your car you don’t think about performance. You just go for what looks the best in your opinion.
Yeah I guess so, I just still don’t understand it I have even seen built cars stanced which doesn’t make sense to me.
There isn’t really any. It could be aesthetically pleasing to a few people
Yeah, I’m more of a performance guy so I’ll never understand the scene. At least not now.
Who said there should be any benefits from it? It’s done for looks. Also some take it a bit further (hellaflush) for the purpose of making people mad, or just to see how far they can take it.
You could say there are different levels or type of stance, where in one end its not very functional, and other where its fully functional, though in a smaller degree than your factory stock equivalent.
Not every stanced car is an inch off the ground with 5+ degrees of negative camber..
True, it just doesn’t make much sense to me. I like to benefit from things and go further with things too. But I guess in there eyes the lower and more camber the better right? So it’s kind of the same thing just from a different perspective
honestly i prefer a car lowered with the wheels still standing straight up just barely hiding some tire, looks awesome and still drives pretty well (if you like a pretty stiff ride)
There are none. Zero. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Yup that’s what I have been noticing.
Why do you think there are benefits.
It’s for looks , and that is were the story ends. It’s not practical to… i know because i’m a stance-guy
We are a scene were looks and stats matter (wheels stats that is)
Offcourse there are people that take it to extremes (45c camber) and sadly it are those people that you guys take as “normal stance”…. but even most of us real stance/showcar guys think they looks stupid AF ans give us a bad name
I have to agree with everyone. I’m doing a stance build just because i don’t have money for now for a performance car. Just coilovers and some rims.
None. It just looks cool.
quite simply there are no benefits other than the car looking awesome, the only way to stance your car and still be able to drive it normally is to put it on some really good bags, so after it was parked and you took all your photos, you can lift it and drive away like a proper car
Performance wise it’s terrible. Like trying to run in high heels. But looks wise, sometimes it can look good
There advantages by slightly adding camber to mabe your car better for conering but stancing it’s self is usless
Camber is only useful up to about 1,5 degrees. go beyond that and you’ll probably only lose grip in the corners
