The Top Gear Kia Cee'd That Tom Cruise Nearly Flipped Is For Sale
Fancy owning probably the greatest Top Gear Reasonably Priced Car ever? The Kia Cee’d, whose bucket seats have been massaged by the famous buttocks of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, among many others, is up for sale. It’s not even that expensive.
The registration number LC10 PHF shows it to be the same car that Cruise nearly flipped on the exit of the Top Gear Test Track’s final corner, giving it tangible pedigree for the £4500 asking price. Used between 2010 and 2013 in arguably the show’s golden era, it was the car that saw more celebrity bums than any other.
After it accumulated 3000 miles in hot laps at the Dunsfold Aerodrome, PHF was returned to Kia, which used it as a promotional tool for a while, until, well, fracasgate. There wasn’t much point keeping it after that. It was sold to a private owner who’s now selling it on again.
For sale on Auto Trader in the UK, it’s priced slightly above the guide value, but there’s probably room for a bit of haggling. For the most famous Kia Cee’d there’s ever been (and ever likely to be), surely this is a bit of a steal?

You say when other RPCs come up for sale they’re spares or automatics, but this Kia IS an automatic? Surely they weren’t sending people round in an auto Cee’d? In fact you can see various stars shifting. This is the plate the reasonably priced car wore but I get the feeling it’s not the genuine article!
Maybe they had two identical cars with auto or manual which celebrities could choose between and they copied the license plate so viewers won’t notice?
