All eyes may have been on the striking Lexus LC 500 at Detroit yesterday, but today it’s Acura attempting to steal the show with the sharp and angular Precision concept. We rather like the way it looks, which is a good thing, as it’s been created “to explore new and challenging ideas for future Acura design, particularly Acura sedans.” If future four-door Acura models look like this, you can sign us up.

The whole thing looks like a giant piece of metal origami, with a low-roofed, coupe-like body sitting on a set of machined, five-spoke 22-inch wheels. There are no B-pillars, with those heavily sculpted doors opening up in a ‘suicide’ fashion to reveal an interior with ultra thin seats, a ‘race-inspired’ steering wheel and a massive curved screen sitting in the middle of the dash.

The most concept-y part of the whole shebang? That’ll be the speaker grilles, which instead of being made from plastic, are made from exotic wood. Obviously.

It’s certainly a departure from Acura’s boring styling, but this is really weird.
