This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. At long last, we have our first look at the third outing of The Grand Tour, now confirmed to begin on 18 January.

With the Amazon Prime show’s second series starting on 8 December 2017 and concluding on 16 February 2018, the wait for series three has been longer than expected, but on the strength of this new trailer, it should be worth a watch.

There’s certainly a lot to take in. We can see there’s some sort of epic road trip, which involves some temperamental old pick-up trucks. Several scenes from a muscle car group test are shown - with a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, Hennessey Camaro ‘Exorcist’ and Ford Mustang RTR featuring. We’re looking forward to that one.

We’re also in store for a McLaren Senna test on the Eboladrome, a helicopter explosion, and some drifting on an ice lake track. Shaped like a penis. Yep, as ever, there’ll be plenty of silliness to enjoy from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

The trio aren’t thought to be signed up to produce a fourth series of the show, but Clarkson strongly denied tabloid rumours earlier this year that suggested TGT wouldn’t live beyond this third outing.

Although Amazon has poured a significant amount of money into making The Grand Tour, the show has effectively paid for itself.

Why does this frame look so much like a video game? It looks more than a game than real life.

This is like seeing presents under the Christmas tree a month early and going insane… except it’s more exiting and I will go insane in about three days.

I won’t lie, I stopped caring about TGT for the most part after the first season. It just brings absolutely nothing new to the table.

Also, this downvote count just proves how rampant Clarkson fanboyism is on here. I guess I insulted a God with this comment lmao.
