Hennessey Has Cooked Up A 405bhp Ford Focus RS

Another tuning package for the Focus RS has arrived, this time from Hennessey
Hennessey Has Cooked Up A 405bhp Ford Focus RS

Only a few weeks ago we were looking at a new Ford Focus RS upgrade package from Mountune. However, if you looked at the 370bhp output the package offered in disgust, we have some good news for your power mad self: Hennessey will crank your RS up to 405bhp with its new HPE400 kit.

But, as Billy Mays always liked to tell us, there’s more. In addition to the 60bhp boost, Hennessey’s alterations see torque swelling by 101lb ft to a mad 425lb ft. More than a Ferrari 458 Italia, in case you like pub boasts.

Hennessey Has Cooked Up A 405bhp Ford Focus RS

To arrive at these figures, Hennessey uses a recipe involving a high-flow air filter, a new stainless steel exhaust mid pipe, an electronic dump valve and an ECU software fiddle. No word on how fast it’ll make the RS just yet, but expect the 4.7sec 0-62mph time to drop to the low 4s.

Sound good? You’ll need $2995 for the kit on its own, or if you pay $4995 Hennessey will fit the lot and give your car a little time on the company rolling road.

If you want to go further than that, Hennessey does have more tuning parts in the works, including turbo upgrades (500bhp+ RS on the way, perhaps?), flashier intercoolers and fancier wheels.

So exactly how much money does one need to invest to essentially have a 400hp hatchback. Lol its cool that it has 400hp but from a practical standpoint just no. But from a rececar standpoint who is goint to drop $30k+ on a hatchback and actually use it as a racecar.

Considering their sketchy history, it would be surprising to see one complete

Sketchy history? I guess you have been reading forums and soaked up the internet knowledge or something.

You could ask Tony Hawk if his is package is complete… or Jay Leno. Or Steven Tyler.

Or any of his continuous string of customers.
