7 Cars The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Can Beat To 60mph

What type of witchcraft Jeep has used to make the new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk so fast, we don't know. What we do know is that the big SUV is faster off the line than some seriously fast cars
7 Cars The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Can Beat To 60mph

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is fast. It’s the size of the moon and weighs about the same as Ayres Rock, but thanks to four-wheel drive, clever launch control and some sort of voodoo incantation, the super-SUV launches to 60mph in a bonkers 3.5 seconds on the way to an 11.6sec quarter-mile.

It uses a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 to smoosh 697bhp down through the four wheels, and if that engine configuration sounds familiar, it’s because you’ll find the same basic unit in the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and even the Dodge Demon, albeit in more highly-modified form. It’s obviously doing a good job, looking at the cars it’s faster than. We dug up a list of 0-60mph times and… well, you can see where we’re going with this.

I’d probably have any one of those cars over a Trackhawk. Why can’t you build a normal car Chrysler!

Chrysler does produce normal cars, but they are all garbage.

So it is actually faster than a lighter car with the same engine? Impressive, to say the least.

But what about the 100-200km/h times? Or even higher speeds? The Jeep is as aerodynamic as a building :P. 0-100km/h isn’t the most important, you know :)

Actually, 0-100kph is more important that 100-200kph. Because, where can you legally drive over 120kph? Not many places I presume.

Why do you need top speed in a suv? You planning to take it onto track day? Lol
