It’s gotta be project cars. Bodywork, wings, and even wheels can just pop on off in the case of a crash! And don’t even get me started on mechanical damage, ohhhh, that’s even better! Crash head on the engine works worse

I was going to say beamng.drive, however I’m going to be different and say burnout paradise. A racing game and damage model way ahead of its time coupled to some of the most balenced racing mechanics gave a game year 7 me played over 400 hours of!

Need for speed shift 2, because you can fly away, make 10 barrel rolls and damage all the car when you overturn at 50 kmh.
P.D: it’s a joke.

I guess Forza has very realistic low speed damage, like bumper to bumper mid race stuff, but when it comes to direct impacts at high speed, well…

Everyone is saying Beam.NG Drive… It is not a racing game… First of all it is a Soft Body Physics simulation NOT a game and second of all, when did you do any proper racing in it? Yeah i know that you can do these weird events against AIs but that isn’t proper racing

I would honestly have to say Dirt Rally, you hit a tree, your car shows that visible damage, you clip a wall heavily with your rear left wheel, there’s a possibility you lock that wheel, bend it out of alignment, or lose it entirely, same goes for sliding into a ditch. All while losing or bending body panels or suffering other mechanical damage. While, yes, Beam NG Drive has undoubtedly the best damage model of any game, it isn’t exactly a racing game yet, more of a driving sandbox.
