Lister Is Planning A 7.8-Litre V12-Engined Hypercar Called 'Storm II'

Lister wants to be the British equivalent to Pagani, and the Storm II could maybe, just maybe, be the car to make it happen

Lister is planning to revive the old Storm name it used in the 1990s for a brand new 250mph hypercar. The Storm II will launch to 62mph in under 3.0 seconds and almost be fighting with the Bugatti Chiron for top speed bragging rights… or at least it will if it actually happens.

Company owner Lawrence Whittaker has tweeted this picture of the Storm II concept close to a Lister Knobbly sports car, highlighting the brand’s heritage. More recently, as well as the Knobbly road car, Lister has produced a 666bhp Jaguar F-Type – with a 666bhp F-Pace SUV to follow.

Whittaker reportedly wants to build a company that works in a similar way to Pagani and Koenigsegg, producing very small numbers of hyper-exclusive hypercars. The Storm II would be the first serious step on that road.

Reports suggest a 7.8-litre Jaguar-derived V12 could provide the power, although exactly how this engine would come about is so far unknown outside the company.

The original Storm was a true small-scale oddball, looking like a weird kit car and powered by a bonkers 7.0-litre Jaguar V12. It was, Lister claims, the fastest four-seater in the world for 10 years.

Wtf it looks like they used the exact same freaking image. Like the light reflections and stuff are exactly the same on the rear wheel especially!

Well, they won’t become the British Pagani unless they release a few hundred special editions. I think Lotus have quite a tight grip on that title…

You know Lister’s a bit edgy when they come up with Jags that have 666bhp.
The Storm II I have a feeling, will be the kind of car that will intentionally try to kill you and laugh at you while you try to fight for control. My kind of car, in other words.
