Watch Two Idiot Drivers Block Half A Motorway For No Damn Reason
It’s really, really hard to watch this video and resit the urge to repeatedly bang your head against the nearest table. Filmed via a dashcam on the M62 motorway near Huddersfield, UK, the footage shows the camera car approaching traffic, which he begins to slowly pass on the clearer outside lane.
At the 21 second mark, a Kia Sedona driver pulls out to block the outside lane, taking it upon himself to enforce a lane closure displayed on an earlier gantry sign. But here’s the thing: the lane had already re-opened, which was shown by the following gantry showing ‘40’ on each lane and no red crosses - something Mr Sedona clearly missed.
Even if there was a lane closure, the uploader would still be in the right, as the Highway Code actually encourages merging in turn under such circumstances (rule 134, if you’re bored and want to look it up), so long as it’s at lower speeds.
The camera car driver and even drivers behind him are seen getting out and pleading with our misinformed Kia driver to let them past, to no avail. Then, just to ramp up the frustration level further, a Ford Kuga driver later decides to team up with our misinformed Kia man, blocking the next lane over to the left too. And for what looks like a significant period of time - we can’t even begin to imagine the length of the tailback this moronic pair caused.
At the 5min 20sec mark the Sedona-driving douchebag finally gives in, having seen that the next gantry was displaying all four lanes as open. He moves over, letting dozens of frustrated motorists past.
The stupid is very, very strong with this one.

if i were they guy with the dash cam i would have just called the cops on mr crappy kia minivan and/or just gone on the shoulder and if he ran in to me i would have just kept going and used the dash cam as evidence to not be at fault especially if you go on the shoulder and the guy runs into you. people in minivans (facepalm)
Great video, had something similar happen to me. A bus was driving past some roadworks and was forced into the lane of the oncomming traffic, the bus was already passing the roadworks when I encountered it so there wasn’t any problem. However just after the point where the roadworks ended there is a small intersection. I decided to stop and wait for the bus to move past the roadworks at the beginning of the intersection. When from the left (so she should’ve waited for me to pass the intersection, before she could’ve made the turn) an blithering idiot decided that the bus should back up (something they aren’t allowed to do, let alone safe to do since there was a stream of traffic behind the bus) to make way for her sorry excuse of a car. She blocked the bus by parking it in the middle of the road and locked her car. She also kept her windows up so no one could communicate with her. Her son (a teenager) sat embaressed next to her as she held up traffic (from both directions) for a good 20 minutes. Finally willing to communicate after 15 minutes we weren’t even able to convince her that what she was doing was wrong. However after sevral minutes of talking to her, she got it through her thick skull that she should back up since she had actual space where she could back up into. She did this, of course, not after requesting to the people around her if the que behind the bus (around 50 cars by that time, it was rush hour) could simply back up. Some people really shouldn’t have a licence.
How the camera car guy is so patient is unbelievable, I’d hav thrown something at the kia driver anything near me, even a kid wud do!
Seriously though the kia guy needs his license taken from him
