The Bonkers Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Is Coming To The UK

When Jeep revealed the staggeringly fast Trackhawk version of the Grand Cherokee, there was just one question on our minds this side of the pond: is it coming to the UK? Fiat Chrysler Automobiles wouldn’t say at the time, but it’s now been confirmed that the Hellcat-engined monster SUV will indeed make its way to UK showrooms.

The European-spec Trackhawk will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next March, before right-hand drive models land in the UK around April - May time. We’ll also be getting the Trailhawk - a car we’ve been denied in this country thus far - earlier in the year.

The Trackhawk isn’t expected to be a big seller in the UK, but that doesn’t seem to worry Jeep. Speaking about the news, Dante Zilli - Jeep Brand boss for Europe, Middle East and Africa - told Car Throttle: “It’s a very niche vehicle, it’s going to be a few people [buying it]. But it’s going to be the same across other countries.”

Amidst the rise of bonkers-fast SUVs, Zilli seems convinced it’ll go down well in Britain. “In the UK you have Land Rover with the [Range Rover Sport] SVR - that’s the benchmark. I think there’s appetite,” he said.

A 697bhp SUV with a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds? Bring it…
