We already know the Tesla Model S P100D is fast. We wholeheartedly applaud Elon Musk’s determination to make it the fastest-launching car out there. But one has just posted a 10.6-second quarter-mile… on standard tyres.

The P100D has previously run quarter-mile times in the 10.8s and even the 10.7s, but this is the first recorded 10.6 – and it’s not even a high 10.6. The P100D is the undisputed king of the real-world drag strip.
