The Fate Of The Furious Trailer Was A Record-Breaking Hit

Fate of the Furious is still months away from its theatrical release, but it’s already broken a record. Well, its trailer has.

According to Deadline, it clocked 139 million views worldwide over the initial 24 hour period, giving it the distinction of having the biggest debut of any trailer. The previous record holder was the trailer for the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast with 127 million views.

The latest film in the Fast and Furious franchise is directed by Straight Outta Compton’s F Gary Gray, and will be the first instalment in the series since Tokyo Drift to not feature character Brian O’Connor, following actor Paul Walker’s tragic death in 2013.

Fate of the Furious will be released on 14 April 2017, and is set to be just as popular at the box office as its predecessors. Will you be watching?
