It Looks Like A Four-Cylinder Diesel Jaguar F-Type Is Coming
Whether you buy a V6 or a V8 Jaguar F-Type, you can be sure your ears will be treated to a jolly nice time. However, it’s looking like a less tuneful version of Jaguar’s pretty coupe and cabriolet combo might be on the way: a diesel.
Oh yes: alongside the long-rumoured new entry-level 2.0-litre four-pot Igenium petrol F-Types, it seems Jaguar is also about to introduce the 2.0-litre diesel version from the engine family to the sports car. Spy shots from Autocar captured an oil-burning F-Type test mule with JLR engineering big cheese Mike Cross behind the wheel, and after running the plates on the DVLA database, the publication found that the car is registered as having a 2.0-litre diesel engine.
This could of course amount to nothing - plenty of cars never make it past the testing stage, after all. But if this did happen, what would you think of such a vehicle? So you don’t pay €7000 each year on taxes for the usage of your car
Within a few years, 4pot diesels will break the 300 hp barrier , delivering the same power and torque of an early 2000’s old petrol V8, on only half (or even less) the fuel.
Lowrpm massive torque is a ton of fun as well.
Can’t wait! Supercharged diesel! Instant torque like a Tesla!

Haha if we are so serious - Kerosine or JT-A is Only Diesel (Concorde is Kerosine powered)

Call me crazy, but I think that will be really interesting. Just imagine having a rolling coal on a jaguar sports car. I think that will be epic
It’s weirdly appealing for me . In turkey if It’s a 1969cc diesel it would lower tax and be very appealing even to me. I love F type but the 3.0 V6 here is a pain in the back to own a V6 car here. This would really boost sales.
