My, that’s an angry looking face, isn’t it? It belongs to the Mustang GT4, and if it could talk, it’d probably shout at you for making all those Mustang crowd jokes.

It’s based on the Shelby GT350R-C that’s been competing in the IMSA Sport Car series, itself based on the GT350R track weapon. In other words, it’s from jolly good stock.

There’s a 5.2-litre V8 under that long bonnet, hooked up to a Holinger six-speed sequential ‘box sending the power to the rearmost set of slick tyres.

It has a much more aggressive aero package than the C, and after a damn good fettle from Multimatic Motorsports, it’s now sporting new dampers plus beefier lower rear control arms and anti-roll bars. On the inside meanwhile, there’s a full FIA-spec rollcage.

It’s eligible for GT4 series worldwide, and is on display at this week’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.
