Fortunately, it looks like the driver was uninjured in the crash. The accident happened in New Paltz, New York, during a cruise organised by the NY ST club. According to the uploader, the organisation operates a zero tolerance policy toward dangerous driving, and the RS pilot responsible “was immediately booted from our club”.

This isn’t the first Drift Mode crash we’ve seen, and I fear it won’t be the last…

I’m hoping that:

  1. RS owners are gonna see these videos and take note to prevent future accidents
  2. Ford are not gonna see these videos and say “ok, fine, no more drift button for the next RS, since people don’t know how to use it”
