Volvo Has Broken The World Speed Record With This 2400bhp Truck

Volvo already held the truck land speed record but went all-out with the 'Iron Knight'

Spitting out 2400bhp and 4400lb ft of torque, the 13-litre diesel Volvo truck has smashed the truck land speed record, claiming the title once held by a similar hybrid Volvo named ‘Mean Green’.

Running over a 1000m track, the Iron Knight has to run in each direction and then take an average of times clocked for each run. Watch as the Swedish truck annihilates the novelty world record, showing what the Swedes are really made of!

Awesome.
Not to be a downer but why call it a speed trial if they are effectively measuring lap times not the actual speed it crosses the line at? it’s a drag time record.
