Hey, have you got any tips on making a second-hand car look better?

Spend some time washing, claying, compounding, polishing, and waxing. There is no secret product or technique just a lot of work. If you check out my website or youtube page I have a video called detail to sell your car that might have useful idea as well

How do recommend cleaning the burnt on rubber after a track day or smoking some tires.

A little heat goes a long way with this. Tar remover can help. And using a MF cutting pad if all else fails is great too. Much easier if you have Reflex or Skin on the paint BEFORE the rubber event occurs.

Could a Volvo or something boxy be a good starter to learn detailing?

Any car that can be sacrificed if something should be damaged is a good car. Junk cars are best but whatever you wont mind damaging is fine. Go to a body shop and pick up old pieces of car. Thats even safer. When done throw it away :)

How does it feel to be the greatest detailer of all time? :-D

LOL. Believe me I’m not. The minute you (or anyone) thinks they are the best at something…they already lost. But seriously, Kevin Brown from buffdaddy.com is IMO the best paint polishing expert I’ve ever seen in real life. Literally ridiculously insane to watch him work. Nuts

I’ve been told by my local detailer product (silverwax) to use a nail brush with leather cleaner to get a more depth clean of my leather seat, is it good or not? or what could be the best method to do it easily at home?

Can you detail the interior of a car easily during winter without risk of freezing when it’s really cold(-20 degrees)?

Hey, I use a special interior brush to agitate the leather to bring junk to the surface to then wipe away after. So yes. But the brush has to be soft yet firm, but not too firm. With respect to cold. If -20 F, then No. Thats freaking cold

What is the best machine polisher for a beginner to start on? That also won’t break the bank.
Thanks! Love the Drive Clean videos you do!

Either the Griots Garage 6 Inch or the Megiuars MT-300. Both price about the same. The megs is my choice in that range

simple wash and wax is best. Focus your time on adding layers of protection.
