McLaren Will Now Sell You A Big Wing For Your 570S

If you’re a McLaren 570S owner who feels a little upstaged by the dude down the road with a box-fresh 600LT, we have some good news. McLaren Special Operations has just launched a rather substantial rear wing for the 570S Coupe and Spider, dubbed the MSO Defined High Downforce Kit.

The reason it’s billed as a ‘kit’ is you also get a set of underfloor guide vanes in with the deal. As for the wing, it’s made from carbonfibre and has a finish that shows off the carbon weave. Lovely.

It features a dip in the middle “to reflect the contour of the car body,” and is propped up by gloss black aluminium supports with Palladium Grey inlays. The finishing touch is a pair of Palladium Grey endplate inserts with “silver chromatic” MSO logos.

All told, the kit adds 75kg of downforce, although McLaren hasn’t revealed the speed at which this is generated. Woking has given us a price, though: it’s £7950 including VAT, but not fitting, which takes about four hours at McLaren dealers.
