Let the games begin Alrighty so last week I finally decided to tackle my oil pan gasket. It was leaking pretty good and ever since I did my transmission swap and replaced the rear main seal she burned a F%$K ton of oil (approximation not exact). In summary I did a compression test and a leak down test and everything was fine compression was good so where the oil was getting in I have no idea. If you read through any of my previous posts I was just about ready to give up on my motor with now 176k miles.

Harbor freight fun Alright so after visiting the local HF I picked up and compression tester and achieved the following results. Dry test Cylinder 1. 150psi Cylinder 2. 148psi Cylinder 3. 148psi Cylinder 4. 150psi Cylinder 5. 154psi Cylinder 6. 150psi Avg. 150psi Max difference 6psi

Went to the junk yard yesterday and got me some 330i calipers. Ordered some new EBC pads and rotors! Should be a nice subtle upgrade from 300mm rotors to 325mm. Can’t wait for the parts to get here!

Started my car this morning looked down and didn’t have any gauges. Turned car off immediately and turned key back to Run, but not start. Only lights to still function normally were the airbag and abs light. Car runs and drives just fine but no other gauges work or lights! All the outside lights function normally even the turn signals but the cluster doesn’t show it. All windows work, the A/C does NOT work, and the wipers move but now they stop halfway through their swipe. The radio works and the steering wheel functions for the radio work.

First car given to me by my grandfather. Last year of production 30th anniversary edition. Great first car!
