A couple oddities in the Classifieds

I came these vehicles earlier today when I was looking for something to replace my R34 -something like a Suzuki Cappuccino or a Toyota MR2 etc.

This first one is a kei truck from the 70’s: a Suzuki L40.
Honestly, with my extensive knowledge of rare JDM vehicles, I didn’t know this existed. Even more intriguing is that this isn’t JDM - it’s NZ New (sold brand new in NZ).

I know very little about this vehicle, however the seller has stated that the engine is a 359cc two-stroke.

Now I must admit that I didn’t know of this vehicle either.
At first glance, one would think that it’s a Nissan BE-1. It is not.

This is the Suzuki Twin - a 650cc kei car produced in Japan in the early 2000’s. This particular one was built in 2004.

This looks like a UPS van but smaller (I think… we don’t have UPS in NZ).
This is the Toyota Deliboy. I believe its intended purpose was to be Japan’s version of the UPS van, and this one has been converted to a mobility vehicle with a wheelchair ramp in the back.
What I find more interesting, though, is that it has what appears to be a racing steering wheel from the 70s.

And now to the last listing - a Toyota COMS.
I have seen these for sale on Japanese websites; I didn’t think anyone would import one with the intention off selling it in New Zealand.
Well Auto Court did just that.
It is a quirky-looking city car that is 100% electric, and once again it has a racing steering wheel.

Even more intriguing is that the importer is located in Dunedin - that is deep south cowboy territory. There ain’t much of a city down those ways.

If I had $10,000 more then I would sell it and buy a 25GTT from Japan. Stock standard facelft model.
