If you can’t quite afford a 918 but will do anything to own one, how about this fine example as a solution? It’s up for auction with a current bid of $100,000, but as you can see, it’s not exactly in the best state. That’s because the car - number 830 of 918 produced - is up for auction from salvage company Copart, and looks to have been involved in a hefty smash.

It’s missing much of the front end, the rear clamshell is in bits, and you don’t have to be an engineer to know the right rear wheel should not look like that. The “primary damage” is amusingly listed as “all over”, and there’s also “secondary damage” listed for the “undercarriage”.

It doesn’t look like the original owner of the car had much use out of it before binning it either, because the car is displaying just 92 miles on the clock….

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the auction to see what the car goes for when bidding closes on 23 March. Post your predictions in the comments!

Fix the rear and front, put in a new drivetrain/engine, fix the rest, done.

I’m an optimist.

Dude I saw a lot of cars with like a few km’s and already smashed into pieces that you couldnt even recognize what car it was before. It amazes me how someone can be so crazy to do that. (Not all of them have to be at fault tho, can be another as*hole that maybe rammed them etc.) But you get the point, right?

Some people just don’t expect the power. If you do crash a super/hypercar, i’d imagine it’d be as soon as you get it
