Say whatever you want about cyclists and them not respecting traffic laws, but it mostly are the car-drivers who pull d-ckhead moves, because “a bike can’t damage a car so much the driver gets hurted”. I often cycle long distances (50-100km) and see all kind of d-ckmoves AND I also tap on cars when they bring me in danger. Just respect the fact cyclists share the same roads.
I bike to school everyday (it’s faster) and I will get so much s**t even though I follow every traffic law. I agree that cars are the ones at fault for the majority of the time, and even if they were at fault, one should never run them over. That’s assault.
I’m still waiting 7 months now for a cyclist to pay for the passenger window they shattered and the door panel they dented on one of my Lincoln’s while running a red light and hitting my car. It’s not always the car driver’s.
The thing is: That the worst damage a guy on a bike could do to a car would be a dent or snapping of a sideview mirror, but the car could put the person riding the bike in much more severe medical trauma, such as a broken spine.
If there’s one thing that irritates me when I’m cycling is that when cars drive slower than you when you’re behind them, then floors it the moment you tried to overtake it.
This taxi driver when not dealing with this cyclist.
