The hype for F1 2017 continues to build and while previous trailers have focused on the 12 retro classic cars that’ll be included, we haven’t seen much gameplay. But… our patience has been rewarded.

Codemasters has revealed the first official gameplay trailer of F1 2017, and it not only showcases current machines but also gives us a look at classic cars in action and reveals that you can race Monaco at night in the game. Hell yes.

Players will be able to race Monaco under the stars in both classic and modern machinery, and there’ll be four new short tracks in the game too – in Britain, the USA, Bahrain and an as-yet unconfirmed location.

F1 2017 is released on the 25 August for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out all of the classic cars in F1 2017 right here.

The VW Beetle

I know the game still isn’t finished, but I can’t help but notice that the front of the cars is a bit too high up. Especially the Red Bull - which is low at the front and high at the rear in real life.

That’s because the models don’t show the rake of the cars, which happens to be quite high on the RBR. If you notice the real life RBR is very high at the back, higher than any of the other cars. The RBR in the trailer has the same height on the front and in the back. Aarava explained something about it in his video breakdown.

In my opinion they should have the newest versions of all the cars - would be better in my opinion if all the cars had the t-wing and those sprts of tweaks.
However, the game still looks awesome, I just don’t know where to get all the money in order to buy the new racing games of this year :D

There are no T-Wings or the revised numbers and driver abbreviations the cars have to have now. They also haven’t included the revised nose section of the Mercedes. The game looks good but the cars look different to how they will for most of the season

Monaco at night… sounds good, but as good as Project Cars 2’s Monaco at night in the snow?

Jesus Christ… This has been out for days, why are you uploading it to CT now?
Of course, I don’t want to offend anyone I’m just asking because it’s not the first time this happens.
